Mr Kalvin Tan holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and has more than 13 years of experience in the local education industry, of which eight were spent engaging young students in learning the Chinese language at a public school. During that time, he was appointed as Subject Head for Information and Communications Technology, a role that allowed him to work with teachers in enriching student learning experiences using educational technology. He has also spent several years of his career designing Chinese curriculum for enrichment centres.

Born and raised in Singapore, he understands the importance of being bilingual, and hopes to make the learning of the Chinese Language authentic for learners, and useful in their everyday life. Outside the classroom, Mr Tan can either be seen cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or attempting to ﬁnish another half marathon.
